Wet Puddle On Carpet

Two nights ago i noticed one small wet spot probably 3x3 inches or so on my carpet.

Several large puddles of water coming up through the carpet enough that it soaks through. Before vacuuming you can choose to spray a carpet cleaner over the surface. If you have wet carpet there s no time to lose. The most important part is first stopping water from flowing into the problem area.

Vacuum the wet carpet with a wet dry vacuum until no moisture remains. Within a week or so the damp spot progressed to a puddle 4 by 6 feet that a wet vac couldn t really keep up with. Then last night it seemed like there were a few more spots. The temporary fix was to rip up the carpet knock a hole in the concrete slab repair the leaking pipe fill in the hole with quickcrete cement and restretch the carpet once it and the pad had dried. This morning even worse. Keep an eye on the fill tank and make sure you dump it before hitting overflow.
